Pensacola, FL (January 6, 2025) – A moped rider was injured in a hit-and-run crash Friday afternoon, January 3, on North 9th Avenue in Pensacola.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m. between Dunmire Street and Keating Road, prompting police to close the northbound lanes of the roadway. According to Pensacola Police, witnesses reported that the moped rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was involved in a crash with a car. The driver of the car fled the scene before authorities arrived. EMS responded quickly, providing immediate care to the injured moped rider before transporting them to a local hospital.
