Okaloosa Co., FL (January 20, 2025) - On Friday afternoon, January 17, a serious crash involving two semi-trucks disrupted traffic along Interstate 10 near the Holt Exit in Okaloosa County. Authorities confirmed that both drivers involved in the collision were transported to area hospitals following the accident.

According to the Crestview Fire Department, the incident unfolded in the eastbound lanes of I-10. A 47-year-old man from Crawfordville had stopped his semi-truck in the outside emergency lane. Shortly after, a 71-year-old man from Anna, Texas, veered his semi-truck into the emergency lane, colliding with the stationary vehicle.

Emergency responders, including the Crestview Fire Department and Holt Fire District, worked to extricate one of the drivers. The 71-year-old Texas man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the 47-year-old Crawfordville man suffered minor injuries and also received medical attention.
