Fatal Auto Accidents in Florida
Car accidents are a major concern in Florida, with over 251,000 people injured in crashes in 2023 alone. These accidents occur for various reasons, including distracted driving, speeding, impaired driving, and challenging weather conditions.
Distracted driving, often due to cellphone use or other distractions within the car, is one of the leading causes of accidents. Speeding is another major factor, as it reduces a driver’s ability to respond quickly to changes in traffic, increasing the chances of more severe crashes. Impaired driving, whether from alcohol, drugs, or even fatigue, presents a significant danger on Florida’s roads and contributes to numerous accidents each year. Additionally, Florida’s unpredictable weather, like heavy rain or fog, can create hazardous driving conditions, raising the risk of collisions.
