Auto Accidents in Florida
Car accidents remain a serious concern in Florida, with more than 251,000 people injured in crashes in 2023 alone. These accidents occur for various reasons, including distracted driving, speeding, impaired driving, and challenging weather conditions.
Distracted driving, often caused by cellphone use or other in-car distractions, is one of the leading causes of accidents. Speeding is another major factor, as it reduces a driver's ability to respond quickly and increases the chances of more severe crashes. Impaired driving, whether due to alcohol, drugs, or even fatigue, is a significant danger on Florida’s roads, leading to many accidents each year. In addition, Florida’s unpredictable weather, such as heavy rain or fog, creates hazardous driving conditions, increasing the risk of collisions.
