Car Accidents in Florida

Car accidents are all too common on Florida’s roads, with many caused by careless or distracted drivers. One of the biggest issues is distracted driving, which can involve activities like texting, eating, or even adjusting the radio while driving. Taking your eyes off the road for even a few seconds can lead to serious accidents. Although Florida has laws in place to reduce distracted driving, it continues to be a significant problem across the state.

When accidents occur, the injuries can be severe, often leading to expensive medical treatments. It is important to understand how Florida’s no-fault insurance system works if you are involved in a car accident. Under this system, each driver’s insurance covers their own medical bills and lost wages, regardless of who was at fault for the accident. However, injured individuals still have the option to file personal injury claims if their injuries are serious enough, allowing them to seek compensation for additional damages, such as pain and suffering or long-term disabilities.
