Pedestrian Accidents in Florida

Auto accidents in Florida leave hundreds of thousands of people hurt each year. In many cases, these accidents are a result of negligence. Factors such as distracted driving, speeding, drunk driving, recklessly switching lanes, running red lights, tailgating, fatigue, and failing to yield often lead to car accidents in Florida.

After a motor vehicle accident, victims have the ability to file a personal injury claim against the responsible party. However, comparative negligence laws play a crucial role in determining liability and damages in car accident cases. Florida follows a comparative negligence system, which means that each party involved in an accident assumes a percentage of fault based on their level of negligence at the time of the crash. Even if a victim is partially at fault for the accident, they can still pursue compensation from other at-fault parties. However, it is essential to prove that the other party is more than 50 percent responsible for the accident.

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident in Florida, it's essential to understand your legal rights and options for seeking compensation. Filing a personal injury claim can help you recover damages for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other losses resulting from the accident.
