Year after year, we continue to see innocent people lose their lives in vehicle collisions, despite our state’s strong laws to protect motorists. In many cases, these accidents take place due to negligent drivers. Leading factors include:

  • Speeding: When drivers do not travel at a safe speed, they are more likely to lose control and crash into other vehicles.
  • Driving while impaired: When drivers are under the influence of intoxicants while behind the wheel, they may lack the ability to control their vehicles.
  • Failing to yield: When drivers do not yield the right-of-way to other motorists sharing the road, they may cause serious accidents that ultimately take the lives of innocent people.
