A fatal fire incident reported in the Crestview area claimed one person’s life. The incident occurred at around 12:15 p.m. on July 28th.

According to official reports, a fire broke out inside of a camper located on Mapoles Street. The Crestview Fire Department and the North Okaloosa Fire Department rushed to the scene to provide assistance. After battling the blaze, firefighters determined that one person sustained fatal injuries as a result of the fire. The victim was pronounced deceased by authorities. The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
