Three people were seriously injured as a result of an automobile accident that took place in Wakulla County. The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the accident scene at around 2:30 p.m. on August 14.
Police reports show that a sedan was heading northbound on Crawfordville Highway during the afternoon hours. As the vehicle swerved to avoid colliding with the rear end of the vehicle in front of it, it entered oncoming traffic and collided with a southbound car near Woodland Drive. One adult and six teens were involved in the accident. One of the teenagers was flown by helicopter to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where they were admitted in critical condition. Two additional victims, identified as one teenager and one adult, both sustained injuries. Both victims were transported by ambulance to the same hospital. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
We hope the injured victims recover quickly.
