A fatal motor vehicle accident reported on Thursday claimed one person’s life. The Florida Highway Patrol was called to the scene of the accident at around 6:45 p.m. on August 1.
Reports from authorities indicate that a 58-year-old man, who was later identified as Charles Stillman, was traveling southbound on Stanley Lane. After an undisclosed distance, he crossed into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a second vehicle near Florida State Road 189. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as a 28-year-old woman from Alabama, was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. Stillman was subsequently arrested and taken into police custody. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
