Proving seizures and/or headaches limit the ability to work is often troubling when the frequency of such problems is not adequately documented. The Epilepsy Foundation has made this task easier by offering a free electronic tool called “My Seizure Diary.”

Although it is specifically designed for those with seizure disorders, it can be used just as effectively by those with frequent disabling headaches. Recording the frequency, severity, and triggers for seizures or headaches can assist Social Security claimants in communicating with their doctors as well as providing an extra layer of evidence supporting their testimony at Social Security hearings.

The electronic diary is available on your computer or smart phone (iPhone and Android) and can be downloaded here. For more info about the app, visit the Epilepsy Foundation Site here.
