Panama City Attorney Chris Cumberland
Christopher Cumberland (Chris) is an associate attorney with the firm focusing his practice on helping Florida’s injured workers. A native Floridian, Chris obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. He earned his law degree from The Florida Coastal School of Law in 2003. Prior to practicing law, Chris interned with the World Trade Center Office in Orlando, as well as with Congressman Jim Davis in Washington, DC. Chris is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and is admitted to the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Prior to joining Syfrett, Dykes & Furr, Chris practiced workers compensation defense with Kelly, Kronenberg, et al., and served as In-house Counsel for a security products manufacturing company wherein he developed expertise in the areas of Tortious Interference with Contracts, Patent Infringement, Breach of Contract and Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices. Chris has successfully litigated Workers’ Compensation cases at both the trial and appellate levels.
Chris is an active member of Florida Workers’ Advocates (FWA), Florida Justice Association (FJA), Florida and Bay County Bar Association, and the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar. He is married and his wife, Courtney, is a life-long resident of Panama City, Florida. In their free time, Chris and his wife love fishing, boating, and being out on the water.
